I keep forgetting to update this. I think it is because it is not very exciting.
Yesterday I had a job interview for a new home care agency coming to SB. It was weird because they were very unprepared. The head person (I could not find out if she was the owner), did not even know what hospital were in Santa Barbara. The home health business here is very closed. Two agencies do over 90% of the business. I applied to be apart time Case Manager but since they have no Pts. yet and saw that I had been the Clinical Manager they wanted me to,"Market" for them. I did this for Meditech and it is not fun. She said they have company in San Bernardino where they have "Over 100 Patients". This one will have new name, Carmel home Health. I could not find anything about either co on the internet. I don't think I'll take the job if formally offered.
Today I went to the tax guy. Now I'm sorry I did not just keep Johns Hoffmann in NJ. The guy was alright but, it will cost a lot more. Than I went to lunch with the lady with MS. My other friend Judy must have told her I was a nurse and she spent half the time trying to get me to be, "on call" in case she needed someone in a hurry. Well I just kept avoiding the issue because she is a very rude person AND she brings her dog everywhere with her. Its a small kind of dog and she claims it is a Care Dog. She did say she trained him ,"from her heart". I told her I did not really care for dogs. This one was okay she only stopped to talk, feed, move, etc this one about 100 times. I am not sure she really has MS. She first told me she was born with it and later said she had been to UCLA and they toly her to see a shrink. I agree.
Check out my house on Ads@Philly.com. It looks pretty good. My niece is showing it tomorrow. Hope they want it.

Oh Betty,
I can't imagine having lunch or anything with someone who brings their dog.
Maybe you could tell her your Malpractice insurance insists you only give nursing advice/care in a health care setting. Tell her you signed a statement to that effect.
She's sounds a bit too 'needy', don't you think?

I think your gut reaction to that Home Care Agency may be 'right on'.

She claims the dog is a "Certified Care Dog". When I asked where it trained she said it was, "right from my heart".
You are right she is very needy. In fact there is a message from her on my machine. Thank god for voice mail.
