Today Carolyn and i took Finn to be taped learning how to do the times tables. It was with the guy I met at my Adult Ed class, who had written a book about it. EZ Times Table. It was very funny. took an hour and Finn got most everything right. It seems very complicated and the kid needs to refer to the tables to do the work. I just don't think any kid will walk to math class with a paper.
Especially today with calculators and computers!
Thats all I did today.
Yesterday Istayed in my PJ's all day. Watched football of course.

Betty,
I think you are so right. Today's kids do zilch without their calculators.
Staying all day in your PJs is my kind of day.
Pat was annoyed that the Giants got to go to the Super Bowl. Hope the Patriots crush them.
As for staying in p.j.s all day: Wish I had that luxury once in a while. I DO stay in my thermal underwear all day, because I wear them under my clothes now that I'm cold all the time. If you get chilly, try them!
Rosemary,
Why can't you stay in your PJs all day if you want? Just don't go outside and don't answer the door. It's a great feeling.
"Staying in your p.j.'s all day" suggests just relaxing and putting obligations to one side for a time. I can't do that in my present life, and don't often want to. I'm not so sure I'd find it "a great feeling," anyway. Different strokes for different folks.
Rosemary,
It's easy to meet one's obligations in PJs....obligations requiring in-house attention i.e. Cook, clean, make appts..all kinds of things. I wouldn't do it everyday....gotta get outside just to see the sky etc and shop for essentials, meet friends, go to class. Balance.... that's the real key. I tend to get off balance and perhaps stay in too much.
Sundays are good days for PJs in my book.
