today Carolyn, Claire and I went to the art supply store. Finn's school is having a ,"art auction" and Carolyn is in charge of 1st grade. They are going to make a submarine . The portholes will each have a picture drawn by a student. It will be a picture of what the child will be in twenty years. When they are 26-27. Claire was so cute in the store. All the sales people were making a fuss over her. They took her to the art table and gave her color pens and paper. She had a ball. The school sells the art work at the annual art fair. I don't get it.
Yesterday I had to work overtime! I am going to demand time and a half. Claire baby (thats what I call her) slept 2 hrs. Than we went to the store, I bought food for Carolyn, took it to their house and made a nice casserole for their dinner.

What? You get PAID when your charge is SLEEPING? Far from paying you overtime, I think Carolyn should dock you for that down time! Come to think of it, Claire is so adorable and it's such an honor and privilege to watch her, YOU should pay Carolyn!
Kidding aside, however, how I wish I could see my granddaughter as often as you do--lucky!
The art project sounds like a wonderfully imaginative idea. Are you going to bid on something? I bought a picture one of the kids in Ellen's 3rd grade made several years ago. I framed it and really like it a lot--so keep your eyes open.
I will keep an eye out for something I can afford.
