Went to pay Cosco what I owe them, but the line was so long that I left and went to buy gas,($3.77 per), well my crdit card would not work at the pump so I had to give it to the guy who works there. I got my gas, got in my car and came home. After I got home I could not find my credit card. Ugh! I called the station and they had it so I had to drive back to the station, about 10 miles. I got my card started home and decided to stop and buy fruit. I bought the fruit, drove home and realized I did nto have my purse!! I panicked, called them and sure enough they had my purse. SOOOOOO I had to drive all the way back to get my purse. I actually feel very lucky that I got both my credit cards and my purse. I really thought it was time to call in the shrinks.

You're right, you were really lucky to have recovered both your credit card and your purse, Bet. You paid 3.77 for gas? I thought the 2.89 I paid last was bad. And--what? You say you have to PUMP IT YOURSELF?! Come on!
(Sorry, but I always have to twit you about that.) BTW, I also commented on your other entry of yesterday.

Our gas is up to $2.97/gal. And I hate pumping. I think Oregon and NJ are the only civilized states when it come to putting gas in our cars.
Betty, I have done the same thing and I think sometimes it happens when I carry a smaller purse. The big one can't be missed. I now check everytime that I have my card, but sometimes that panic feeling comes over me when I've thrown my purse in the back seat and don't see it right away.

I sort of like to pump my own gas now. It's not a big deal, once you get used to it. It took me about a year to get to know how to pump.
