I started my new job today. For all the thousands of you readers who have not heard, I am watching my Granddaughter for twelve hours a week for money! Carolyn said she had to pay someone so it might as well be me. As you know I have been watching the Grandchildren very often for no money, but this time I have regular hours and I think she actually wants me to show up on the hours she needs me. Anyway,it was fun. Claire is turning into a real character. She dances and goes her own way. She lets no one stand in her way.
Everyday she walks around the block with her doll coach. Usually she has a doll in it but today it was some kind of talking toy shaped like a basket.
I did not do anything else today.

That sounds like a job perfect for you and Carolyn. She'd never get anyone who's a pediatric nurse with experience like yours. So, make sure you are paid well. You are worth it. Of course they are your grandchildren so it's not really like work, but you will have to be there when she wants you. 12 hours a wk sounds good. You'll still have time to go to lunch etc with your friends which is so important. Glad you found this job Betty, hope the interview wasn't too scary.
Hmm...did Carolyn contact your references and do the background check with the FBI and so on? On a serious note, will you be able to stop looking for a "regular" job? Hope so.
I won't look for a regular job yet.
